Cost: $360.00/team
Max 12 Teams. 4 pools of 3.
4 games guaranteed. (if 12 teams in the tournament) Each team will play 2 round robin games on Friday and 2 playoff games on Saturday.
Each team will be supplied with 6 game balls to be used in the tournament. Game balls are for the exclusive use of your team when on defense. Neither the umpires or offensive players are to touch the game balls. Defensive team retrieves balls that go out of play. If additional baseballs are required, teams are to supply their own.
For all round robin and playoff games, home team determined by a coin flip.
6 inning games. Max 6 runs per inning. Round Robin-No extra innings if game is tied.
Mercy rule - ahead by more than 12 runs after 4 complete. (3.5 innings if the home team is ahead) ahead by more than 6 runs after 5 complete (4.5 innings if the home team is ahead)
Maximum run differential in a game is 12.
2.5hrs between games to allow for teams/fans to enter/exit will minimal contact
Games will not start early. Starting time will be as posted on the schedule.
As per Carillon league guidelines, umpires will call balls/strikes from behind the pitcher
Coaches on 1st and 3rd please help out umpire with fair/foul calls
It will be expected that all teams follow the Baseball Manitoba Return To Play guidelines
Baseball Manitoba pitch count rules will be in effect.
Playoffs - if tied after 6 innings, 1st extra inning -start with last batter from previous inning on 1st, 2nd last batter on 2nd. 2nd extra inning -start with last batter from previous inning on 1st, 2nd last batter on 2nd, 3rd last batter on 3rd. Continue successive innings until winner is declared.
Round Robin Placement Tie breaking procedures.1. Result between the tied teams. 2. Runs for/against differential. 3. Total runs scored divided by total runs allowed. 4. coin flip
Coaches, players and spectators understand they are participating in and attending the tournament at their own risk. Niverville Baseball will not assume any liability relating to any illness or injury that may occur.
Tournament will accept A/AA teams. (teams will be combined. not separate divisions)
No Canteen will be on site.
